Join the Morro Bay Maritime Museum for a special evening featuring two documentary films celebrating the ocean, Morro Bay, and the people who are connected to them.
SPEARA
SPEARA follows Mitsuki, a 26-year-old world champion spearfisher who left Japan at age 16 and found purpose in California. The film explores a personal journey of healing, identity, and connection to the ocean.
A Q&A with filmmaker Florian Baron and star Mitsuki will follow the screening.
OF MARSHES AND MORROS
Of Marshes and Morros is a short documentary telling the inspiring story of how Morro Bay’s small but biologically rich estuary was recognized and protected by the local community.
