SCHEDULE:

Saturday, October 8, 2022, will be an exciting day celebrating everything local in amazing Morro Bay.

  • 8:30 am The day begins with the second Annual Morro Bay Rotary Ducky Derby. Buy your duckies now at morrobayrotary.org. The race starts at the Galley/Hof Brau inlet and ends at Tidelands Park

  • 10:00 am Maritime Family Fun Day starts in the triangle lot behind the Morro Bay Maritime Museum. FREE ADMISSION

    Visit exhibits, take part in demonstrations and contests, play games, build sandcastles, make fish prints, get in a dive suit, try our treasure hunt, make otter masks, try your luck in a fishing booth, be one of the first 200 to ask Morro Bay in Bloom about planting a butterfly station and win a free succulent, take part in sailing activities, visit with the Salinans at their newly created Salinan Heritage Park and so much more all provided by local nonprofits and businesses.

    Music on the Patio provided by Savory Palette and Foghorn Brewhouse.

  • 10:30 am Winners of the Ducky Derby will be announced. Claim your prize.
  • 11:15 am Muffin Contest $1.00 Blueberry Muffin tastes served up by Erica Crawford, Chamber of Commerce, Scott Collins, City Manager, Amish Patel, Tourism and Jeff Heller, City Council. Sample muffins made by local bakeries and vote for your favorite. Taste blueberry muffins made by local bakeries and vote for your favorite.
  • 12:15 pm Astrolabe Demonstration by Greg Anderson
  • 1:00 pm Wonderful maritime stories told by the amazing storyteller, Theo Moreno.
  • 2:00 pm Chowder Contest $1.00 Served up our fabulous First Responders. Taste all 4 and pick a winner
  • 3:00 pm Sea Shanties
10:00 am-4:00 pm visit exhibits and demonstrations, take advantage of photo ops, build sandcastles, make otter masks, make a fish print, take part in a Treasure hunt, etc, etc, etc. all provided by local nonprofits and businesses.
