After spending the summer in Morro Bay, the P-520 has gone home to Long Beach, California. The Morro Bay Maritime Museum had the priviledge of hosting the historic WWII era rescue boat and sharing its fascinating history with over a thousand visitors to the central coast of California. The educational tours of the privately-owned vessel were made possible by the boat’s owner, Mr. Jerry Tretter, and a handfull of stalwart volunteers.
To the Museum Authorities & Researches and the Brigadier Sir Tretter’s family, after wading through a deluge of info, I found an exact match in the USAAF P-520 by using Google lens on my Grandfather’s photo. I hope you don’t think I’m torpedoeing you with my emails with images of the British RAF or is it USAAF WWII Rescue boat my Grandfather boarded. Please take a look. Which navy it belonged to? I have provided a link to my website on English and European antiqes. Hope this finds you with your sunny side up. I have my funny side up, as we are being lashed in Bombay by rainwater not sea water. Anu. 9930417527
